Haha we love that show. My boyfriend has had a craving for fried chicken for like 3 weeks because he saw it on an episode.

I went to one of the places featured when I was in Nevada. It was sort of a let down :/

@Lolasmomma:

LOVE that show even though Guy Fieri annoys the heck out of me.

I think a road trip to try triple D restaurants is an awesome idea! I’m dying to go to Portland because of this show!

We love watching it for techniques as well, some of these chefs really think outside the box.

The sad thing is often I will look up one of these restaurants and a lot of them go downhill after the show. 🙁

@Gerbera: why do they go downhill after the show?? You would think it would be the opposite!

@PitBulLover:

I think it’s like the same syndrome of going to restaurants that get Top Rated. I feel like a lot of times service and quality goes down due to fame? Like the can’t keep up with all the business that the show/fame brings?

I remember the one restaurant we really liked was a seafood place off the coast of Florida. I believe a couple bought it and brought a friend in who smoked all their fish in the back of the restaurant. The guy was amazing, he built his own smoker and all. When I went to google the restaurant I learned that the restaurant was recently sold and many reviews said the quality was not the same.

I would love to watch it, but I get extremely hungry then cranky because of the show.  But it seems that I’m missing good places to check out in Jersey.  Hmmm…

Love it!  Random, but is there a way you can search what restaurants he’s visited by city?
