So our church ceremony is at 4pm, for about a half hour….maybe an hour when you count the recieving line and such and pictures blabla..
Well our cocktail our is 45 minutes north and starts at 7pm…so what do you write on the invitation at the bottom? Nothing? Can the escort card say the reception start times?

Are you including a reception card?
On the actual invitation, I believe I stated something like
Reception at Venue at 7 pm
but it’s been a while!

We are having a separate reception card that will say something along the lines of…
“Please join us at XXXXX at 6 p.m. for cocktail hour. Dinner and dancing to follow.”
This is pretty standard where I live (Cleveland).

Our invitation says “Formal Reception at 5:30 at …” We’re also including a reception card with full details

a Reception will be held in their honor at Time and Place
2 1/2 hours after our ceremony was held.

I just wrote my invites, and I didn’t include information on the reception but if you are going to do it, you could say something like “reception to follow at XXXX Hall” and then include the reception card as well.

So if you have a reception card…you don’t need to write reception detail on the invite, right?
I plan on having a reception card.
