Its a bit much. I’m personally not a fan of attending receptions when I wasn’t there to witness the ceremony but thats totally up to you. I would have a nice dinner to celebrate with family and friends instead of strictly family and leave it at that.

Yeah, I think one or the other not both. It’s a little different if you have a reception AND a dinner because one was like, in a forgein country or something and at least some of the guests were at the actual wedding part of the celebration. But I think in this case, both is a little much.

Can you do them on the same day or the same weekend? Have a nice family dinner and then have a big afterparty (just drinks and apps/desserts) with your friends and family?

I think it’s excessive.  Like PPs, the point of the wedding for me is actually witnessing the ceremony, so I wouldn’t be super impressed with the later events.  I also wouold not watch a live-streamed ceremony.  It seems a little strange to me — either I’m important enough to witness the ceremony in person, or I’m not.

JiminyCricket :  either I’m important enough to witness the ceremony in person, or I’m not. <<< Yep. Watching a live stream…I’d have to pass.
