- Wedding: April 2014
Fiance and I are planning an evening wedding, and have decided to have pictures taken in the afternoon before the ceremony. This will allow us to avoid the awkward gap between the ceremony and reception, and also will save us a TON of money because we wont have to feed 200+ people dinner! Its a legal requirement to serve a midnight lunch here so I will feed people, just not a huge sit-down meal. Here’s the issue: we really want family photos (bridal party, parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins) and our photographer is totally on board. I was thinking of making an insert for the invites and sending it with the main invitation to everyone we’re inviting for photos and dinner, but I’m at a total loss with the wording!
Right now the plan is to rent a bus and have it pick everyone up at the ceremony location, take them all to photos, then to dinner and back to the ceremony location. This will aleviate our out of towners having to navigate through our city, and also solve parking issues (lots of restaurants, and photo locations have little parking and most of the time its paid parking) This also means we dont have to decide where photos and dinner will be right away, so that gives us a little more time to plan those details.
How would you word that? In the nicest way possible I’d like to include:
-Join us for pictures, then dinner before the ceremony
-meet at “location” at “certain time”
-transportation to photos & dinner is taken care of.
