Trying to work on our dinner menu, also trying to make sure that everything flows together.
Our package includes, but we can add to it if we need more :
One (1) Appetizer
One (1) Entrée
One (1) Starch (Pasta, Rice, or Potato)
One (1) Vegetable
One (1) Dessert
All meals are served with the following: Green Salad, Bread and Butter, Coffee, Iced Tea, Lemonade, and Water. Please review the menu item lists below to create your menu:
So far this is what I have :
Salad : Fresh Green Salad [Requestig addtional addons such as cucumbers, candiad almonds, tortilla strips & cheese]
Bread : Buns & Honey Butter [I’m going to request buns instead of bread]
Appetizer 1: Fruit Tray [Requesting chocolate dip]
Appetizer 2 : Bruschetta [Probably going to request equal amounts of 2 kinds]
Entrée : Parmesan Chicken [Topped with mozzy & covered in marinara]
Vegetable : ?
Starch : ?
Dessert : Wedding Cake served with deep fried icecream, drizzled with chocolate & caramel. [There are also going to be cupcakes, cheesecakes, brownes & more at the candy buffet].
I need ideas for my vegetable & starch. Something that flows well with the rest of the meal. The ones my caterer offers on their website are no inspiration, this is what they list :
Starch (Choose One):
- Baked Mostaccioli
- Baked Lasagna
- Roasted Potato Medley
- Potato Au Gratin
- Rice Pilaf
- Scalloped Potatoes
- Pasta Salad (cold or hot) with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Artichoke Hearts, or Pesto Sauce
- Hot Pasta (Spaghetti, Mostaccioli, Penne, Bowtie, or Linguini) with Choice of Sauce (Marinara, Vodka, Pesto, or Meat)
Vegetable (Choose One):
- California Vegetable Medley
- Green Beans
- Italian-Style Vegetables
- Bean Salad
- Cucumber Salad
- Baked Beans
Anyone have any ideas? It should be something casual and not something fancy [nobody in my family is very fancy!]. It should also flow well with the meal.
