Techinically no, but it did turn pink. LOL I went red but it came out a pink hue, it was okay…

Never tried it, but I think to turn dark hair a lighter colour, even pink, you would have to bleach it first.

@MrsCreeToBe:  Cosmetologist bee here. If you are wanting a hot pink or bright pink, you are gonna have to bleach your hair first. Most funky colors come in demi-permanent form, and they do not lift levels. If you are cool with maybe losing an inch or so of hair, then go for it! When you use lightener it strips the hair of pigment, which damages it, but if you trim it after it should be good to go.

If you do not want to cut your hair, may I suggest a peek-aboo strand? You can either lighten and color the panel, which is going to do way less damage than to bleach your ends… or you can do a fusion extension.

If you go the route with lightener please, pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaase DO NOT do it at home.

@MrsCreeToBe:  You could do an ombre! Also, as far as unnatural colors go, I really like Pravana. I don’t have the pravana book with me, but I don’t think you have to lighten *too* many levels to use their pink. Is your hair “virgin”, or is there color already on it?
