I’ve mostly seen directions written out for the church and venue.

I would do it for the venue. Most people have a GPS or can use googlemaps so that will most likely be enough information.

Is everything relatively close to each other?  If so, draw a map showing where each location is (ceremony/reception, hotel, after party, something interesting, etc).

I would stick to giving directions to the venue (if they are all coming from the hotel even better becuase you only have to give directions from one place too!

Directions to the venue is fine. I’m not even putting a directions insert in with my invitations. Between the internet and GPS, who really needs them anymore?

Mine just has a snapshot so people can see the nearest interstates, and the easiest route between the reception/lodging and the ceremony sites.
