@Rouquine:

Oh that’s frustrating, I hope its not bad stuff. Don’t get yourself all worked up, that’s the worse thing you can do. I’m sorry if its not much help, hang in there and keep us posted when u do talk to her. Hugs

That does sound like BS but I guess you’ll know more tomorrow.  If you can tonight, try to document (on paper or just in your head) the specific times/situations you think she might bring up.  That way you’ll be able to refute any generalizations (“you’ve taken work off frequently“) with actual specifics and dates.

Remember that you don’t have to respond immediately to what she says. Let her talk so you can find out the specifics. If what she says is upsetting to you, let her know that you will get back to her, then get up and leave so she can’t drag something out of you that you may regret saying.

I’d go in extremely positive and polite!

if you generally don’t cause problems, I have always found when management wants to talk to you, that it is a good thing!

Let us know how it goes!

@Rouquine:  Hmm…but isn’t your time and attendance overal impecable, despite the one dang time you were sick?

Do you have a policy that if you took sick day, you need to reschedule another day or something?

@Rouquine:  Maybe it’s a positive and she means you have done well only missing 2 days?

@Rouquine:  OH snap! Well having other people on the floor who would like to paint a bad picture of you can be trouble! Hoping for the best, among this craziness!

Good luck… I hate these types of things. I feel like I give myself a stomach ulcer all day/night thinking about it – then (in most cases!) it was silly to worry and was completely nothing. Try to think positive – good luck. Whatever happens – smile and stay classy! 😉 (This coming from someone who is sarcastic as well and has a hard time keeping to myself when I am upset…)

@Rouquine: Could just be a paperwork issue to, or a computer issue.  I had HR once tell me that the computer told them I wasn’t at work for a whole week, and I worked outside the head of HRs window.  She new I had been there, but it was a whole lot of paperwork to get it straight.
