@cherryblossomlove:  You really shouldn’t feel old at 30. Just keep working out

I’m sorry you don’t feel as young as you look. That’s important.

For what it’s worth, everyone I know, including  myself, says the 30s are the best.

I turned 30 a couple of months ago. Obviously there’s no drastic change overnight, so I wouldn’t worry about feeling too different than you feel now.

If you want to tone your butt and thighs, give pilates a try. I’ve been doing it for several months and it’s helped more than anything else I’ve ever done. It also stretches your muscles and makes you more aware of your whole body and how it feels throughout the day. Even just doing a routine of stretches for 15 minutes every morning will help you feel better overall.

I’m 28, so almost there.  But I don’t feel old at all.  I work out 4-5 times a week..I still feel like I’m 21 except I can’t handle partying like I could back then!  I don’t have any kids though yet!

Working out and exercising are probably the best things you could do for yourself!

I’m a lot like original poster and had a lot of life experiences that make me feel older than I look. I’ve found this year (at 31) that working out hard 3 days a week has helped me tone up and feel better about myself and even eased some of my chronic aches and pains. Just to let you know I felt I was NEVER going to tone up and look good for my wedding (which is still 2 years away) but after about 6 months of hard work I’m down 2 wedding dress sizes and feel great about myself. So just keep up the hard work. It sucks but is sooo worth it.
