I’m trying to convince the Fiance to go to Africa for our honeymoon (he’s born and raised Texan). He is content with a cruise to the Bahamas and I’m wanting adventure. We probably won’t have a chance before starting a family to travel halfway around the world.
He was okay with the idea of South Africa but only after he realized that he could see a Rugby game while we were there. So with that said….
Anyone who knows anything about Rugby/South African sight seeing, please let me know the best time to travel to get the most for our money. I want my Fiance to have a good time and I know we’ll enjoy our honeymoon wherever we go but we need advice on time of year, sights to see. places to stay away from. and maybe hole in the wall diamonds!

I never ever considered SA as a honeymoon destination UNTIL I took a honeymoon destination quiz with Fiance and our priorities were great food and wine and SA popped up as the perfect destination for us. I began to research it from there and was amazed at how amazing it looked!! We ended up deciding to go to Mexico for financial reasons, but SA is definitely on my list for future vacations!

Ahh Africa is my dream vacation, specifically Tanzania, but SA sounds amazing. That’s funny that a rugby game is what convinced him to go. I don’t have any trip advice, but I get a lot of travel info from the forums on fodors.com. There is an Africa section that would probably be helpful to you.
