I didn’t start to show until 5 months. Have you called your doctor or midwife yet?

I have an aunt who is extremely tiny anyway, and when she got pregnant, I swear most people didn’t even notice. Even from the side with a little wider top, she looked a little bigger than before, but no significant bump. Some women are just built that way, I guess ๐Ÿ™‚

That beig said, if you feel like there’s something weird, go ask your doctor! That’s what they are for ๐Ÿ™‚

I would certainly consult with a MD.

@MissDareDevil: It could be that what you thought was a bump was actually bloating, and the bump will come later…

I am (was) a size 4, and was really bloated in the beginning (starting wearing bella band around 11 weeks if I remember correctly); and the real bump only started to appear around week 20. (I was in Cuba on week 16 with a bunch of people would would have had no idea I was pregnant if we hadn’t told them). Stomach just looked regular to them, while huge to me, but it was more bloat than bump.

My bloat which I thought was bump went away right around then, and then my bump started to grow. I personally wouldn’t worry if you haven’t had anything unusual (cramping, bleeding). i think it’s pretty normal for the size to change. I totally have a bump now, but some mornings I still wake up and think I look way smaller than I did yesterday. Might be how the baby is laying/where it’s tucked in or something. Call your doctor though if you’re really worried!

My bloating has also gone down.  For example, two weeks ago, at 12 weeks, my jeans were very tight and one skirt I could hardly zip up.  This week, I have no trouble buttoning.

In these 2 weeks my energy has shot way up, and I’ve been able to get back to my intense 30 minute daily power-walks.  And I don’t need to eat every 2 hours to avoid the nausea.  These 2 things together I think have lessened my belly.

On HelloBee, there is a thread asking ladies when they popped and had to wear maternity stuff. Most of them say around 20 weeks, which was later then I anticipated.

Just talked to my grandmas about their pregnancies this weekend, and one of my grandmas told me that she never looked very pregnant until she was about ready to give birth!

I say, no worries.  ๐Ÿ™‚

During weeks 11-14, I would go to bed with my tummy really protruding but wake up with it very flat. That kinda worried me too but it obviously wasnt anything to worry about. Right now I’m 18 weeks and still no one has noticed my rounded belly lol.. I plan to tell my manager today though!

@MissDareDevil:

My Future Sister-In-Law juts looked like she ate too many tacos. I swear I have no idea where my 9 lb future nephew was. She wore her same hiphuggers under her belly for 9 months.

I wouldn’t worry about it, particularly if you have had no reason to suspect anything is wrong.  12-14 weeks is around the time that the bloat goes down and the bump starts growing, so it sounds like you are pretty much normal.  Many of my friends didn’t show much until 16-20 weeks.

I’m only 12 weeks, but my stomach is huge at night (like 5 months pregnant big…) and then in the morning it’s much smaller with just a small protrusion.

I’m the same as you. Right around those weeks I felt like my bump disappeared. I think it was just the bloating went away.

I worry too why I don’t have a bump yet. Just trumping it to everyone is different and hopefully my bump shows soon! Last night after dinner there was a bump!!! I feel like there is still a noticeable one this morning so we’ll see if it stays.

I’m 16 weeks now.

Everyone is different.  I am 18.5 weeks and barely into maternity clothes.  Some days I need them, and some days my old jeans fit just fine!
