How did you pay for the dress?  I believe paypal has a complaint process that may allow you to get your money back. If you paid with a credit card, contact them. Some will refund your money to you if the seller misrepresented the product.

Bees, please be careful with this poster. She appears to have just listed this dress for sale in the classifieds section for 600 dollars. Just wanted to offer a heads up to everyone, as I do not feel this is a completely ethical listing.

Did you put the purchase on your credit card?  Some of them have ways that you can dispute a purchase if you are not satisfied and the vendor is unwilling to work with you.  I hope you can work something out, it sounds like that dress is a disaster and probably not worth the alterations on it.

Very classy… The dress is so terrible but you’re willing to sell it to another bride by speaking so highly of it? I’d say you got what you deserved.

After having such a disappointing experience – inparticular that someone (the company) would treat you so terribly – why would you try and sell the disaster dress to another unsuspecting bride and make her wedding plans difficult. I would hope that you would not want another bride to have the experience that you described here…….. thats shameful.

Bees… This poster just joined Weddingbees today. This is the only thread she started, but she posted three classified ads. I have a feeling that she only joined to sell things. I don’t think she cares about any of the other brides.

wow if you know the dress is a disaster that was manufactured rather than handmade why did you advertise it in the classifieds as a custom made high quality dress and expect to get $600 for it?

Based on what you posted here and the classified listing that you posted, you don’t seem like a very ethical person. I hope you see the error of your ways and remove the dress listing from the classifieds.

@Corykru: WOW! Thanks for looking out! I cant believe that after everything she went through, that she would try to do that to some other bride!
