Be careful going down that road it could be a long one. Been there, hurt feelings, wasted money on upgrades and ended up going back to a smaller higher quality stone in the end. Once you learn about diamonds you will appreiate how he went so high quality. Just sayin. Wait for a milestone anniversary for the upgrade. Perhaps 5 years? I wish that is what I had done.

I agree. I made that mistake and will always regret it. So I went back to the original setting my fiance proposed with and had to replace the diamond because we had used the half carat to upgrade. Big mistake but I fixed it and put a .60 in the orignal setting he designed and it made him feel really good. I feel complete again lol. It’s super high quality. D, VS1, excellent cut GIA and it fits our lifestyle. All our friends have 2 carat rocks and that is just not our budget but I bet none of them are D VS! lol! Nowhere close. So fiance and I are finally on the same page. If he ever buys me any jewelry again I will love it and not change a thing beause HE picked it out for ME.

This is so sweet!
While I’m not much of a jewelry person myself, I do support the women on this site who are uneasy with their e-ring. It’s a ring that one wears every day, you’ve got to like it! So I supposrt brides for stylistic choices, and less so for size.
