I think its a great photo. Everyone looks pretty casual except you and the two guys in matching ties (groom and best man maybe?) It looks like a super-fun wedding in Hawaii! I’d get a big print of this and frame it.

So while I’m giving Mother-In-Law and Shortz a free pass, I do think the photographer should have gotten more shots of all of you. Can you photoshop some separate pictures together into a fake group shot? I’ve done that before with party pix and had them turn out well.

Congratulations!

That photo is great! Your MIL’s dress doesn’t ruin the photo at all since it’s a casual beach wedding. Very pretty!

@BOSOX11: I do not see a dress that ruined the picture. The picture is of the bride, the groom, and the guests.

My eyes actually traveled to the left of the picture first, because it’s predominately white clothing. It’s crazy dress, for sure, but it doesn’t take away from the picture.

the shorts are more distracting than the tie dye

I think it’s a nice photo.

Your photographer shouldn’t have told you 1800 photos, that seems excessive. We were told 300-600 is average

I think its a nice photo and the only issue I would have is the person in the shorts as well. The tye die dress is fine to me but i guess everyone has different opinions and tastes.

Where I am from in the Caribbean it is not normal for persons other than the bride to change their clothing for the reception and as for shorts that is not considered wedding attire not even for a beach setting

LOL the dress, she has character!

I’m so sorry to hear you don’t enjoy you wedding photo’s. This is the most memorable day of your life and you want to capture every single moment of it! I would be very upset needless to say…but at least you got a few so it didn’t totally go wrong. I would contact him and ask him where the rest of the pictures are and why he didn’t deliver what he had promised?

that’s no more distracting than the chick in bright blue with a huge red sash…

Looks like a super fun wedding!

Also, my Mother-In-Law changed into a shorter WHITE DRESS for my Brother-In-Law and SIL’s wedding reception.  She loved the dress and really wanted to wear it, since I told her she couldn’t wear it to ours, which was in two weeks, and my SIL didn’t care (she’s Chinese, too, so white isn’t a big thing, though she had a white wedding dress and white reception dress for the American wedding).

I think the pic looks great, really fun! What I AM wondering though is if there was only 8 of you, and he only got 1 group shot and no candid romantic couple shots, what DID the photog take 500 pics of?

@BOSOX11:

I like the dress!  The girl in shorts and a tank top is the one who really looks out of place to me.  In any case, it’s a cute photo and everyone looks like they’re having fun so just enjoy the memory and forget about the outfits.

I think the girl in the shorts is “where is Waldo’s” sister.
