It will take alot more than 3 stores to find the “one”. Some women don’t even find them in a bridal shop but may find something they love elsewhere. Keep an open mind and try on everything. If you still don’t find something you absolutely love, look into designing your own and having it custom made by a local seamstress.

I didn’t have one of those SYTTD moments. I know I tried on way more than 15. I will be wearing the one that was my favorite at the first store I went to. The second store was a flop. The third had a few contenders, but I never really found exactly what I was looking for. So I went back to the first store and put the dress back on. I remember feeling not so much the “yay! This is it!” feeling… it was more, “Well, I guess this is the best of the options”. So I bought it, then it took forever to come in and I had dress regret, and then it finally came in and I’m growing to love it.

So that’s my story. I was on a time and budget crunch though as well, you have more time to work with.

It took me over 11 salons and most likely over 100 dresses but I found one. Don’t worry yet, some of us just take longer to find one/make a decision.

It took me 9 salons and over 100 dresses too. Don’t give up, be open to everything- you’ll find the one!

My dress didn’t scream out to me. I didn’t cry. There was no moving “IT’S THE ONE!” moment. I REALLY liked about 3 of them. Ended up going with the one that was the most comfortable and the most unique. I kinda feel like having that tear filled “the one” moment is about just as required as having an orgasm. Just because you don’t have it doesn’t mean you don’t love it or it isn’t right. One question I have is are you trying on similar styles over and over again? Are you trying styles you never thought you’d like? I only ask cause I could have sworn I would have been the full tulle skirt couture chick. Turns out I’m sleek, slinky lace. But I tried one of each style just to make sure.
