I saw the article where Kirstie Alley is stating that back when her and Patrick Swayze were filming “North and South” they had a so-called emotional affair and fell in love.
Nice of her to say such a thing when he isn’t here to defend himself or refute it! How can she be so callous to his wife? I have lost all respect for that woman now. I used to like her, as an actress, but now I feel she has no class at all and I’m disgusted by her. Ugh!

You are so right, that’s just tacky!

True. I loved her in The Last Don though.
What a pathetic thing to say.

She is a no class dumpster woman, and when I read that article I almost died for Mr. Swayze’s widow….what could this “confession” possibly accomplish other than tarnishing one of the most respected show business marriages and perhaps raising Mr. Alley’s questionable stock in the ever fetid bilge that is the Hollywood Machine?

@sunfire: I felt the same way when I read that. Like what’s the point? She’s way past her prime and just needs to go away. She’ll do anything for attention these days.

She is going downhill… as an actress, so she has to think of somehting to keep her in the news. So sad, I don’t like her anymore.

@sunfire: You are so right…I saw a blurb of her on ET last night and wanted to puke. She’s also claiming Travolta was the love of her life. Whatevs. I find her to be a boorish sow.

Wow, totally not necessary to let this come to light. I feel so bad for his poor wife.

@nona99: I know, right?! How does she think this makes his wife feel now? They were both married at the time.
It’s probably a lie but even if it is true, how awful to talk about it now. Obviously Patrick and his wife loved each other so very much and had a wonderful marriage.

Now she is going around saying that John Travolta is straight. She said “(he is) the greatest love of my life” and that while they were filimg Look Who’s Talking (While she was married to Parker Stevenson) it “It took everything I had inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John and be with John for the rest of my life … I feel like when you marry someone, you’re supposed to work hard at it and you’re supposed to make it work.”

She’s only in the lime light right now because of Dancing with the Stars and I can’t wait for her to be kicked off so we can stop hearing about her. And how rude can you be! IF it was “true love” then wouldn’t it be more respectful for your deceased love to keep it to yourself!?! Instead of tarnishing a marriage, the memory of a star that many adored, and his widow.

True or not, now’s not the time to announce it. His poor wife.
@gemstone: If it hurt my heart to hear that, I can only imagine how his wife must feel. It’s such a low blow! Who would do something like that?

I agree. I mean, she could have stated, “I was in love with Patrick..” But to state that he was too, is not only presumputious ( unless of course he said it), but callous. I can see stating something like that in a memoir years down the road, because it is her right to tell her life story in her own truths, but just to state it in the media for the purpose of turning heads, is pretty insensitive.
