This is hard. She sounds like she’s not very good at all so I’d be worried that the other girl’s hair would look bad too. But on the other hand you’ve already put down a deposit…

I also kinda really want to see the hair pics lol

Honestly, it looks like you did it at home with any old curling iron. That’s definitely not something I would pay to have done! Shoot, I can curl my hair better than that for free. I suggest finding a new stylist or buying a nice curling iron (Hot Tools are frickin awesome) and doing it yourself.

Yeah, that isn’t professional at all.

I can do that myself! [see picture of me at work]

    Old picture, by the way!

Wow!! I would not pay money for that. I know you’ll lose money by backing out, but I feel that to go forward would be a waste of even more money. I would not use her!

You definitely need to go with a new company.  Unless the company can provide another stylist (and give you another trial for free).  Even then, I’d still probably just go find another company.

Why did you book them before having a trial?  I thought the whole purpose of a trial was to see if you liked the stylist…

Wow after just 20min your hair is really flat.   That stylist is definitely NOT worth $65!   As for the other women in your party, I’d ask each of them what they’d like to do.  I’d recommend that the BMs that are pretty decent at styling their hair do their own, and for the other women who aren’t good at formal hair styling to go ahead and use the [crappy] stylist.  By the way, do you HAVE to use this particular stylist??  She sucks pretty bad and I’d go with someone else/other company entirely!    But if you were stuck with this particular one & had no other choice, then I’d ask her if there’s any particular hair styles that are her favorites and she’s awesome at.  And if she has any, I’d look to see if there’s any that could work for my BMs, etc. and/or myself.

Good-luck and let us know how everything turned out!

I would show them these photos and ask for either a) a free trial with a new stylist or b) your deposit back. I could do better with your hair than that. Probably most girls on this board who have ever had long hair could.

@PeachSnapple:  I’m getting married 5 states away as well, so trust me, I understand the hassles of working with vendors long distance.  I used a certain stylist for my engagement photo shoot and a different one for my hair and makeup trial.  I honestly ended up liking the woman who did my photo shoot better than the company who did my trial.  So, I just booked the first woman instead.  I also had been assured of how great the company was, but I was disappointed too.  I guess you’ll have to wait and see what their response is.  I hope it works out for you.  Just me personally, I wouldn’t let that woman anywhere near my wedding, even if it’s just for the BMs.
