Is anyone planning or taken their honeymoon in Disney? We did and it was awesome! I am a huge disney fan and have always loved it there. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which I thought was amazing. The whole stay was great and couldn’t have asked for more!! The picture was the view from our balcony that overlooked a savanna with animals just roaming around!!

Staying in Disney hotels is a MUST when going to Disney! It just enhances your experience 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed your Disney honeymoon! I love it, I’ve gone every year since I was a baby!
We might end up going to Disneyland for part of our honeymoon… unfortunately until immigration status is settled I can’t leave the US so we need to come up with honeymoon ideas in the US!
Once I can travel freely we’re going to rent a villa on the Amalfi Coast in Italy & follow it with a tour through Italy! 🙂

You would be surprised how many people you see there without kids!! My Fiance thought the same thing until we went there for the first time early on in our relationship! Always a good time,, kids or not!

@hisbarista – get him to go! Fiance and I went with our only “couple” friends in March and stayed at Saratoga Springs. There weren’t many kids because school was in session (yay for college spring breaks being different) and we found a lot to do – Saratoga has a spa, and is within walking distance of Downtown Disney which has restaurants, clubs, House of Blue, Cirque du Soleil, boats, a Virgin Megastore, etc.
Can you tell I love Disney?
@lesanna06, so jealous, I want to stay in the Animal Kingdom Villas! I’d also love to stay in the newly redone Treehouse Villas.

oooh! Well, we haven’t planned the honeymoon, yet, but our wedding is AT the Disneyland Hotel’s Rose Garden! Super DUPER excited because I LOVE Disney & FH is SO awesome to have suggested this for our wedding (yes, HE suggested it!).
So cool to hear from ‘bees who love Disney, too!

You are absolutely right, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing! I remember when Fiance and I went we basically had the pool and spa to ourselves the entire time. It was such a great vacation!

@His Barista – having lived in Southern California for 5 years, had DL passes and taken a lot of friends’ kids and gone alone with my (now ex) bf, I can promise your Fiance: DL is WAY MORE FUN before you have kids.
You need to at least experience it that way once… seriously.

We are actually definitely considering this! Right now a cruise is at the top of our list for honeymoons (we got engaged on a cruise, so there’s a lot of meaning behind it for us!) but I am still definitely excited about the possibility of going to Disney!

We are honeymooning at Disney World! We’re staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge too. I love Disney and this will be FI’s first trip since he was a baby. I think I might actually be more excited about planning the honeymoon than the wedding.
