My Fiance and I are both excited because we both love “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. We want the version with Pebo Bryson and Regina Belle for our first dance!!
We also want “So This Is Love” from Cinderella. Did anyone else use Disney love songs at their wedding? Is it cheesy?

Ok – I love Disney and I love Disney love songs…so of course I think your idea is wonderful! Here are a few more that I can think of:
“A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella
“Once Upon a Dream” from Sleeping Beauty
“Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King
“You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan
“Someday My Prince will Come” from Snow White
“When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio
“Something There” from Beauty and the Beast

Omg….I LOVE “So this is love” from Cinderella! I’ve always wanted to dance to that song at my wedding!

It isn’t cheesy at all! Before I read your post I was going to suggest “So This is Love” from Cinderella but you have it! I love that song. I always put it on repeat on my ipod (wow now I feel like a dork!)

Ok, so it isn’t technically a Disney movie, but I cry every time I hear “Somewhere Out There” from An American Tail – such a perfect song for LDR couples!

It’s a little cheesy for my taste, but hey, if it works for you and your wedding, go for it!
I think there’s a country band who did a cover of “Kiss the Girl” from Little Mermaid.

I think my husband would have called it off if I’d suggested a Disney song for our first dance. 🙂 But my friends and I did enjoy watching a marathon of our favorite Disney movies while we were getting ready! All our vendors were pretty amused by us belting along with “A Whole New World” etc. It was a ton of fun and really helped keep things lighthearted – my makeup artist told me that normally, everyone is just sort of bored and staring at each other for the many hours it takes to get everyone prepped.

@babebabe06: “Enchanted” is a Disney movie! “So Close” is one of my favorite Disney songs ever, the boy and I actually consider it our song 😀

One of my favorite love songs is Can You Feel the Love Tonight, and no, I don’t think it’s cheesy at all!

We are considering when you wish upon a star for the father/daughter//mother/son dance. Honestly, 97.6 percent of first dance songs are a little cheesy, so don’t fret. If you all love the song you should go with it!

I think it’s a great idea! I love so many of those listed.
@rachaelrobin: This totally made me wanna hear Somewhere Out There again (it’s been years), going to download it in iTunes right now 🙂
ETA: Ah, it’s not available in iTunes 🙁

Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks if you love it.
Love – Robin Hood (animated version but forgot who sings it)
Ever Ever After – Carrie Underwood from Enchanted
The Call = Regina Spektor from Prince Caspian
Kiss The Girl – has been remade by several people including Ashley Tisdale which isn’t too bad

I know this post is from 5 years ago, but it came up on a google search and I was reading through the comments. This is seriously the best idea ever! I’m so doing this 🙂
