do they let you see samples of their work? i haven’t seen it, but usually disney does good stuff.
Are you talking about WDW or Disneyland?
If you are talking about WDW, go to disboards.com They have a lot of information for you, but the basics are that, if you are getting married inside the park, you must use their photographer for at least a small package.
Most girls choose to have their own photog for getting ready, use Disney’s for the ceremony, and then their own photog for the reception. Their photogs are very pricey. Some are great, some are not so great. You can request certain ones.
If you are getting married outside the park (at a resort, at Downtown Disney, at Boardwalk), you can use your own with no problem.
You can PM me if you need more help or just try out disboards.com
Root Photography does a good amount of Disney weddings and they do a fabulous job!
My cousin got married at the Boardwalk resort and the pictures are FABULOUS. They weren’t cheap, but definitely worth it.
I went to a wedding in Disneyworld during the summer of 2008. They weren’t impressed with the pictures for the price they paid. I didn’t love them either. It wasn’t done in an artistic way, which is not my taste. But I don’t know if that is a common experience or not, it might depend on the photographer you get, there has to be more than one, right?
I have heard mixed reviews on Disney Photography so we went with Roots! I agree with kwynn check out disboards.com for more reviews and to get an idea. Some people have gone with them and gotten GREAT pictures. And if you are doing an in-park event you do have to use them. Good luck!
