Hey Yall!
My husband and I were thinking about going to Disney World for our 1 year anniversary in February. He has never been and the last time I went was 6th grade. Does anyone have recommendations of reliable websites to book Disney vacation packages through? possibly something with meal choices? or discounted tickets?
Thanks!

I always just book through Disney.
This is probably the biggest forum for Disney-goers, so perhaps there are some good suggestions on there for you.

I go to Disney about once a year, and I’ve always booked my disney vacation trips through their main website.
But I do recommend once you book your trip to visit allears.net. It has a ton of information on the parks. It also lets you know if any rides will be shut down during your trip and helpful tips like that. Once we have our trip booked, I visit that website almost daily – I love it! It has information on basically everything you’d want to know. Good luck and have fun!

We are going in January and it is my first time ever going! I like both of the site recommended above. I also booked through Disney and got the free dining plan. Good luck with planning!

I also suggest you visit http://www.mousesavers.com There you can learn what, if any discounts are being offered by Disney.

Also, if either of you are teachers (or work in education), nurses, or government employees, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts offer great dicounts at their deluxe resorts (has been as low as $99/nt, but varies). You need to call them directly (http://www.swandolphin.com) to ask for pricing.

Triple A always has great deals on vacays; last year, we did Universal Studios and a ski vacation package – both were awesomely priced and super fun. If you’re not a member, joining isn’t too expensive, and you save on flights/hotels/restaurants/shopping, so the difference is made up pretty quick. I’ve probably saved close to $1000 just last year (I travel ALOT)!

If you have USAA insurance, I would check to see if they have any deals as well.

I was going to suggest disboards.com as well. I’ve been a member there for years even though I’ve never been to Disney yet! I frequent the Budget Board but they have all sorts of boards for every Disney need.

Ooh I LOVE planning Disney trips! It is probably my favorite thing in the whole world, haha. My dad had me start helping him plan our yearly trips at a very young age and I’m totally hooked. And there is so much new stuff since the last time you were there, and he has never been?! Omg, sorry, I geek out. lol
I’ve found that it really is best to just book through waltdisneyworld.com – I’ve never had a travel agent be able to get me a better deal than going through Disney directly. Normally I would recommend signing up for the mousesaver newsletter but it’s close enough to February you’ll want to book ASAP, reservations fill up quickly. But sign up for everything on Disney’s site – make an account, price out some trips, request a free DVD, etc. All this stuff gets you on their list and makes your chances higher of receiving a pin code – a code that can only be used by you that gets you special discounts!
Right now Disney is running a special for February where you cna get 30 – 34% off your room – check it out here. And let us know if you need hotel recommendations or have other questions!

Oh, and make sure to tell them it’s your anniversary! You’ll get a special pin and maybe some free desserts!

AHHHHH Disney! I want to go back so bad! We went for our honeymoon in November (yes I know its only been like a month lol) and my husband also proposed there back in May of 2010. I would reccomend going through their website or even giving them a call. As PP has mentioned DISboard is great help! I can’t wait to start planning our next trip (hopefully VERY soon)!!!
