I’ve never been to Disneyworld, but I’ve been to Disneyland many many times.

I just don’t see how a week at Disneyworld could possibly be better than 2-3 weeks in Italy.

I’ve never been to Italy, but I would hands down pick it over a Disney honeymoon. Disney is great and it’s fun, but it can also be exhausting. My family always joked that we needed a vacation after our Disney vacations. It’s been a while since I’ve been, but I can’t possibly see how it would be better than a couple of relaxing weeks in Italy.

We just went to Disneyworld this past January. I would not recommend it for a honeymoon, standing in crowds just doesn’t sound romantic. We went for a graduation trip which happened to be a week after we got engaged so we celebrated there. We did 8 days at Disneyworld and 3 days at Universal Studios, it was WAY too much time we got park hopper tickets and did 2-3 parks a day depending on how tired we were. I would say 7 days is plenty since you won’t have kids with you. I would much prefer 2-3 weeks in Italy, it’s more intimate and roamntic, way less hectic.

We are going on a Disneymoon and staying at Port Orleans Riverside.  We decided on our honeymoon before we decided to get married and we wouldnt choose anything over Disney for our honeymoon.

To save money we are driving (from Canada, obviously not an option from the UK) but we are also staying offsite for a week in a house rental, spending 3 nights at Riverside and going to Disney for 5.5 days (.5 is the Halloween Party) out of our 10 Day Vacation.

Really though it depends on your and your spouse and what you like.  We also our looking at our honeymoon as a once in a lifeitme trip (we are doing more than we will in the future going to Disney as a family), which one of your options would be once in a lifetime to you?

Disney World is pretty awesome besides the weather, it’s where I got engaged.. I’m a big disney freak, I go to disneyland multiple a year, I was just there 2 weeks ago and will be in 3 weeks. But I’d pick Italy! It’s a longer vacay and a shorter plane ride. Is it possible to go to Italy and make a detour to go to Disneyland Paris for a couple of days?

I’d rather spend 2 days in Italy than 2 weeks at Disney.

Italy, Italy, Italy!

I will never understand adults who are obsessed with Disney. Go when you have kids someday.

Personally no. Most of Disney is the complete opposite of private, quiet, relaxing. Not how I want to spend my honeymoon.

Italy x1000000000000, and I actually like Disney World in small doses — I’m dragging Darling Husband there for a weekend this summer. I’m with the bees who don’t get “Disneymoons”.

My fiancé and I leave for our disneyworld trip next wednesday! We have never been before, so we are both excited. But we aren’t going for a honeymoon, we are going just for fun. Personally, for a honeymoon I would totally do Italy any day!

writersblock:  Hello!

I cant compare the two as I have never been to Italy, so that is going to have to go off of your personal preference there (and how big your love for disney is).

I LOVED DisneyWorld, but i think i would probably chose Italy but then again i have disneyland so close to me so that might affect my answer. If you have been to Italy before, than i would choose WDW!Personally, i love Disneyland better because its the original BUT disneyworld has soooo many things that disneyland doesnt. It can almost get overwhelming how big it is compared to it!

Anyway, i just stayed at Port Orleans in january and it was the most beautiful resort! I loved walking around it and taking bike/boat rides around the property. The Food court had fair pricing and was cheaper than the park, which i liked.  Magic bands are awesommmee! Transportation to and from the parks was easy enough (still a bit of a ride maybe 5-10 mins).

I dont know that you would need 10 days down there unless you are also doing the water parks? I would say 7-8 days is more than enough time unless you are going at a peak traffic time (summer or xmas). Magic Kingdom and Epcot were my fav and i would dedicate probably 2 days to each. The others seemed do-able in one day unless you are hitting shows etc.

Dont forget the incredible dining options (and yes some fill up 6 months in advance)

– Be our Guest (Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant) was probably my fav. Its stunning and has great food.

– We also did Dining with an imagineer at Hollywood Studios. Bit pricey, but if your a true disney fan you will appreciate all the inside info.

– Cinderellas Royal something – INSIDE CINDERELLAS CASTLE! All the princesses come to your table and its a great way to meet them without standing in line. Plus if you do breakfast, you get into the oark before opening and get some good shots of main street before the crowds come in.

Don’t know if this is possible for you but we broke our honeymoon in two parts. We went to Disney for one week then one week we went tropical. You get the best of Both. I love Disney though so I am biased. Haha
