Hey ladies!
My fiance and I have a lottt of letters/envelopes back and forth from each other from Basic Training.
they’re really important to us and we want to display the envelopes somehow at our wedding! if I don’t think of anything else i’ll do a collage…. but I really want this to be cute.
do you ladies have any ideas???

Cute idea!
For our wedding, we’re setting up the guest book table with a formal bridal picture of me on one side, his bootcamp graduation picture with him in his blues on the other side, and the guest book in the middle. Maybe do something like that, but with a bigger table, and arrange the letters there? I don’t know what branch your man is in, but you could find small, branch-related decorations to help decorate the table.
Another thing I’ve seen at a few weddings is a table with pictures of the couple growing up. Towards the end of the table, you could put pictures of the two of you together and include the envelopes.
Goot luck!

Do you want your guests to read them, or just see them? I would personally not want my guests to read our letters (some are PG-13 rated!! hehe…), but I love the idea of displaying them!
What if you arranged them with pictures of you two, a pretty lace tablecloth, and then got a piece of glass to put over top of it, and put your guest book on top of that? Then they’re protected, guests get a nice display, and you can choose the best letters to be out next to their envelopes for them to get a glimpse of your writing.
Kind of like this, but with pictures also, and spread throughout the table…. maybe with a larger picture in the center??

I just had a thought… goes along with the guestbook table. What if you (and me *hehe*) displayed them on the table but with a piece of glass over it? In case that doesn’t make sense, check out the picture. Obviously, it would be a much larger table and prettier… I was just trying to show you the effect that I was thinking.

@martinca:I was totally going to do this, but in the end I had too manyprojects and did not.
My plan was to “collage” the letters without glue. I was going to arrange them in large (very large) photo frames
@thefuturemrs.o:That is an AWESOME idea. I love it! Also, yeah, we didn’t want anyone reading our letters because they were PG to X rated… Definitely not what I wanted grandma to read.
