(Closed) Displaying Victorian Porcelain Dolls – Need Ideas!

I was given several dolls as I was growing up and my husband and I just bought a house this fall, so I’d like to find a way to display them. I’m struggling with coming up with a solution that is affordable and protects the dolls. I don’t want to do open storage because they’re so difficult to clean and I would not have the time to dust them regularly. I could potentially have whatever I need built out of wood and glass, but it materials are expensive (labor is free because it would be completed by myself or one of my grandpas.) I also don’t want them to look too grandma-ish and I want them out of the way of kids. Basically I’m looking for a modern way to store the dolls up high somehow. Any ideas?

Maybe the reply is not necessary anymore, but what about a large cloche for each doll? It is easy to maintain and clean up, and can be put on shelves or table as decors too.
