Hi Ladies! We’ve decided to use disposable diapers, and even though all the brands seem pretty similar, I’m wondering- what do you use? Any reason you like one brand over another? I’m not looking to start a debate about cloth vs. disposable diapers. I really respect all you cloth diaperers out there, and considered it myself, but it’s just not going to work for us for a number of reasons. So, what kind of disposables do you use?

My SIL used sensitive wipes and pampers swaddlers she said that she felt like the diapers fit securely and prevented leaking. I have not used them yet myself, but i am going to start with this brand and adjust if necessary.

I’m a nanny, and we use pampers. swaddlers on the baby (now 4 months old) and cruisers when the 3 y/o was in diapers. LOVE them! hardly any leaks!

Though I am a cloth diapering mom, we use disposables occaisionally when traveling. I didn’t particularly care for pampers swaddlers due to how many times I had leaks/blowouts and have switched to huggies pure and natural for when we use disposables. I do like pampers sensitive wipes though. They aren’t too wet and I like that the wipes are folded together rather than connected together (huggies sensitive wipes have perforated lines in them and you have the tear).

Pampers! I tried Huggies and they leaked. My friend said that huggies fit her chubbier baby where Pampers was better for her skinny little one.

We use disposables for night and tried several. We like the Earth’s Best brand. We haven’t had a blow out and they don’t use chlorine to bleach them and they are biodegradable.

Right now I’m using all different types, based on what we got from our baby shower but when it comes time to buy my own I’ll probably use Target’s Up&Up brand. I teach daycare and several of my children use them. They’re comparable to Pamper’s (my preferred namebrand) but much cheaper. Never any blowouts either. Most children I’ve had in Huggies have ended up with leaking problems and I’m not crazy about the fit either.

I had my three in Pampers Swaddlers as newborns, they are so soft! When they got into size 2’s I switched them to Luvs, because of the price. Each of mine went through their periods of blowouts and I found it really didn’t matter what brand I used, it was just part of baby raising. I have always used Walmart brand sensitive skin fragrance free baby wipes. They’re cheap but still strong.

We use Pampers and Kirkland wipes!

I’ve been using disposable diapers for the most part these first few weeks, we only have a few bum genius in the xs size and the one size fits all don’t fit quite yet, and will continue to do so at night. Right now I’m just using what we recieved from the hospital and baby showers, so it is a combo. I like Huggies Pure & Natural the best but I do see how Pampers is great on leaks, soaks it all up, but I like to be able to tell if it’s wet/poopy so she doesn’t sit in it too long. This all may change as she gets a little older 😉 She is not even 3 weeks yet.

We use Pampers Swaddlers, too! The only reason I picked them was because that was what the hospital gave us when she was born so we just stuck with it. (i assume this is because Pampers sends their products to hospitals en masse, not because the hospitals choose them for any special reason)
We’re fine with them. There has only been 1 or 2 blowouts (out of many, many MANY diapers!) But Pampers is one of the most expensive brands, though, so I’d also be interested in hearing other options and what has worked for others!

I won’t be buying Pampers again based on their (to me) unethical marketing/packaging practices around dry max.
When we use disposables, out of the ones I’ve tried, I like Earth’s Best best. In a pinch, I would use Huggies P&N or 7th gen from other stores where EB isn’t available.

At night we use the Costco brand, size 3. They are OK..1-2 leaks to last all night long, but it fits well and is very affordable.

I have no opinions yet since baby isn’t here yet but I did sign up for stuff on baby sites and have had a bunch of different diaper samples sent to the house. It seems that different brands fit different baby builds better so we’ll just try out the samples first.
For wipes we’re going to use the kissaluvs spray http://www.amazon.com/Kissaluvs-Diaper-Lotion-Potion-Spray/dp/B002UD6C16/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1305555516&sr=8-2

Pampers for diapers, Huggies for wipes. Pampers wipes are kind of slimy and don’t wipe… ahem… STUFF off as well as the Huggies wipes. But Pampers diapers are super soft and clothy. Diapers was one of the few things I refused to cheap out on and go generic with… generic diapers are so much cheaper but feel like paper.
