cosimaskye : that’s my thought as well- I’m hoping there will be more focus on what goes on the plate, drinks and dancing.
nonablu : the more I think of the environmental impact the more bothered I am- I drive my fiancé insane with my insistence that we not waste anything 🤷🏻♀️

alittlefox : I’m glad you get it.. it’s not cringing at the “faux pas” part of it.. just the idea of the wooden cutlery on my teeth. Ughghghghhghg seriously sends shivers down my spine. No idea why, because i’m pretty sure I’ve used wooden cutlery without issue before hah.
As for the plates, they’re about the weight of the “deluxe” paper plates you can buy sometimes.. the really heavy ones. Certainly heavier than any “normal” paper plate. They hold up very well, people go back for seconds without a problem, and we have no issues with very juice/saucy foods. They eminate a very faint odor when you first open the plastic wrap but it’s gone in an hour or two. If you get them I’d make sure opening the plastic wrap is the first thing you do on the day of set-up, just to be sure.
