I know how you feel. This is month 3 for us, and still no luck. I know a year is average, but when you read all about the girls who get lucky that first month, it’s so easy to get disappointed.

We got lucky in our first month and my first test was negative. I took another the next day and one more a day or two later, both positive. Just wanted to comment that it can happen that way. Good luck!

I was the same way my first month.  Now I’m in month two and on my Anniversary trip and am hoping I can test while I’m here since AF is supposed to come on Friday which is the last day of our trip.  Crossing my fingers!

I know the feeling…I was surprised at how disappointed I was the first time that happened too. It’s hard, because every month you’re excited waiting for it to be time to test, but knowing that you could be heading for disappointment.

For me I take the feelings of disappointment as confirmation that I do really want this and am ready for it to happen.  🙂

Getting my period each month was the hardest thing ever while TTC… it’s tough to stay positive when it takes longer than a few months {especially when you talk to friends + family who aren’t going through the same thing and they’re so flippant about your disappointment! Argh!}

It’s tough, but I highly recommend staying away from the tests until you actually miss your period {if you’re regular}… I promised myself not to take a test until I missed a period and I found it was a lot less stressful to not always have one in the cupboard ‘ready to go’, especially as you can test too early and receive a false negative.

Good luck ladies!

I agree about not testing early every month.  I haven’t tested for a few months, at first I did but now I usually just wait till I get my period.  It is so disappointing but (and I hope you don’t have to learn this yourself) it actually gets better after the first month or two.  I kind of expect it not to happen every month now, which makes it easier on me emotionally.  It is hard for me not to talk to anyone about it, since no one knows we’re trying, but I think it would be harder if people kept asking me about it.  Good luck to you! 🙂

I would have to second the motion of taking another test (assuming you only took one) because the first can come back negative or invalid, thats what happened to me!
