It’s gonna be my 3rd soon lol πŸ˜‚  fist was when I was only 20 years old and his family side only attended since I’m from different country and my family didn’t come. It was at small chapel in small town in MI with 40 ppl… most of guests were strangers (to me πŸ˜…) but marriage didn’t last even 1 year. I was too young.

2nd time I was 26. Married for 16 years and we had very small wedding dinner with my family and my friends in my country with 15 ppl.

3rd time will be on a way πŸ˜‚. But I’m 46 this year and my fixance will be 56. We both not rushing at all. Even not officially engaged yet till he meet my family overseas in late fall this year.

WeddingπŸ™„ we jorkingly talking about just us and our babies yorkie girls jump in rv and go Vegas and marry with Elvis πŸ•Ί at small πŸ’’ chapel πŸ˜‚

Also we may take photo kimono and haka ( for my fiancé) guy’s kimono when we go home in fall.

And I don’t mind engage for another few years long as I can keep wearing my E-ringπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰

I have never dreamed of having a big wedding…so for my first we had a destination wedding with 45 people.  Then my exH insisted we have parties in our home towns and where we lived, but offered no help besides demanding the parties.  It was a bad situation, but I followed along because I was stuck.  I wish we had just done one over the top wedding to appease everyone.

This time, SO and I will go to the courthouse or maybe elope.

My only advice is don’t get caught up in the details.  Good food, booze and dancing is what people will remember…not favors or decor.

My first wedding only cost me $2500.  My ex husbands best friends parents owned a lot of land so we held it there.  We rented a white tent and we just got food from Costco and had a bbq.  But it wasnt the wedding I wanted.  As soon as me and my ex gor engaged his mother took over all the planning.  If I was adament that I didnt want something she would just say “well thats what we will do and I will pay for it”.  That is when I surrendered and let her take care of everything since I didnt have a say anyway and my ex would never stand up for me.  The next time I get married I am going to make sure thay I have the wedding that me and my SO want.  So that is the best tip I can give you.  Whatever you choose to do, it is your wedding, and if you are lucky then you will only get one.
