My parents have been divorced for *almost* 16 years.. My dad has been less than fatherly since the divorce (he told me it was my fault at first, and greatly favored my younger sister).. My stepfather has been more of a dad than my dad has EVER been.. I want my dad to have the honor of a father/daughter dance, and I also want to do one with my step-dad.. My dad also doesn’t know yet that he isn’t walking me down the aisle, my mom is… The biggest problem I see, is that my dad most likely won’t hesitate to take a swing at my stepdad.. I don’t know what to do to cause not-so-much friction, and still have what I want.. What do I do? (I think I want to dance to American Girl by Tom Petty with my dad and He Didn’t Have to Be by Brad Paisley with my step dad).. Any advice?
