We are doing our own bar.. but.. we are trying to be somewhat fancy about it. We came up with the idea because most of our family have bars in their house.. ranging from small $100 ones, to HUGE room length ones.

We decided we were going to buy 2 small bars, and put them together. We created a list of our “signature” drinks, and we’ll have a print out/frame with how to make them on the bar area.

We have at least 4 people wanting to make/take turns making drinks, or people can make them themselves. They can also mix together anything they like and make their own drink.

Mind you, some of these drinks have different versions, we just went with the easiest.

We are also doing the “honeymoon” fund. [Which isn’t very popular on the Bee, but very popular in my area]. We’ll most likely use an acrylic raffle ticket box, and wire it onto the front of the bar.

We are DIYing our bar. We’ll have coors light and yeungling, my signature drink is a blue margarita on the rocks, his is a 7&7, and then we’ll probably have vodka and rum to mix with basic mixers, like coke, cherry coke, cranberry, green apple, and orange juice 🙂

For wine, you generally do 4.5-5 glasses out of a bottle… there are apps for liquor drinks too, I think! They help you figure out how many guests, of those guests how many are heavy drinkers, and how much liquor you’ll need based on that.

Since an open bar is included in my reception hall package, we are not DIY bar, plus neither Fiance and I are real drinkers so we wouldn’t make our guest happy unless they asked for a rum and coke
