@chilecorona: I know right? I was so excited to discover this!! I wouldn’t call it “easy,” but I wouldn’t call it crazy difficult either. It’s more just time consuming — cutting the paper, applying the ink carefully to the plates and removing stray ink, and then running the paper/plate through the pressing tool is pretty labor intensive. I enlisted my artsy brother for this 🙂
Here is the Kit I used:
I found it at Blick Art Supply and used a 40% off coupon and ended up paying around $95 for it.
I used boxcarpress.com to make my custom plates (which I believe came to around $50 for everything) and to read up on letterpress tips. I ordered all my envelopes and letterpress paper online.

@meke: Thank you so much! The empty vase will have water and a pearly floating candle in it and then votives and tea lights will fill in some of the empty space on the wood. I’m really happy with the way they turned out 🙂

You girls are an awesome inspiration! We are also diy’ing a lot of our stuff to save money and because I want to include friends and family into the wedding as much as possible. This day (to me) is not just about our love but the love of everyone around us.
Did anyone have a party to DIY any of their things? I am considering doing a girls day as an excuse to eat some good food, spend time with my girls, and work on wedding stuff. Does anyone think this sounds tacky to ask of friends and family?
