I’ll definitely make my own dress. I’ll probably design it, too, as I can’t find anything that is exactly the dress in my head. (But I’ve got some time to be on the lookout.)
First I was thinking about having bands made by a local goldsmith, but now I’ve started thinking about making our own rings. I’ve been watching ring-making videos on YouTube. 🙂 It would certainly be less expensive to just buy a couple plain bands, which is probably all we’d make, but I like the idea of putting a bit of ourselves into the process.
I’m wondering if anyone has made their own rings, and was it hard?

I have made several rings through many soldering and metal smithing classes and they are always very fun/suprisingly easy to make. This is a picture of a traditional russian wedding band I made 6 years ago and have been wearing ever sence. I have been wearing it on my right hand as it is a wedding band but I was not wearing it as one.
I also love the idea of making my SO’s band, unfortunately he has to have tungston for his job so I might not be able to make it.
If you do not allready have the materials there are a few places you can go that specialize in helping people make wedding rings, they will even help you set the stones.
