How pretty! I’d love to DIY my own flowers, but I don’t think I could handle a project like that the day before the wedding. We’ve booked a florist for the bouquets and centerpieces, but I’ll be DIY-ing the simplier stuff for the cocktail hour, sign-in tables etc.

those are AWESOME!!! I’m DIY’ng my flowers and while i have an idea from the silk place i went to – i know it’s gonna take me a while to really put them together as i’ve never done this before! lol – but i wanted to say WOW yours are amazing!!!!

wow, that looks beautiful; I’m doing my own too, I bought vases at walmart, glass round ones, satin ribbons at the dollar store and I’m ordering red roses at my convenience store for only $0.65/stem (I live in Manhattan, land of the overpriced a  florist charges $3/stem) so I’ll be doing my own centerpieces (10) bouquets and boutenierres for only $150

Oh wow! Gorgeous! I applaud all of you who are doing your own flowers. I really want to but I have no idea how to approach such a daunting task. When and where will you actually purchase all the flowers? When do you arrange them? How do you keep them fresh until the big day? Care to share your secrets?

that is gorgeous!!!! how did you do that? im looking into doing my own bouquet as well. how do you keep them looking good. and prevent them from wilting?
