@eocenia:  That is beautiful, I love the colors!

My husbands mother diyd my flowers, so I wasn’t really involved. But, I think what she did was wrap the stems tightly in floral tape, then in the lace, then pinned them with pearls. It turned out great ๐Ÿ™‚

If the stems are not thick you can use a paper towel roll or PVC pipe to create a more solid handle. Or if the stems are pretty don’t use as much lace

I would use floral tape! That’s what I did with mine, then wrapped them in ribbon, and lace. Then added some pearls to the top.

@eocenia:  Thank you! I think she wrapped the stems from top to bottom, but with green tape. the ribbon/lace/pearl stuff she used to wrap that was fairly thick I think. So, I think she just wrapped it so that it overlapped and covered all the tape. Actually, I found a better picture and it kind of looks like she wrapped some satiny fabric around the tape, and then the lace/pearls around that ๐Ÿ™‚

We do climb indoor and outdoor. We prefer outdoor since it’s cheaper (once you get the supplies) and the views are great. But, for at least half the year it is so cold here, that we climb indoor which is much more convenient. Do you climb?

I used floral tape then covered it with ribbon.  I chose to use pins down the handle to match the buttons on my dress.

Mine was pretty simple.

I love the colors in your bouquet and think the handle would look great in some color.  Since the lace is close to the baby’s breath it might look nicer to have some color on the stems rather than white on white.  But….I am biased as I love color!

Great job.

@eocenia:  I think the bouquet looks great! You might want to consider varying the heights and directions of the Veronica a bit more. As for the ribbon, I think the idea of wrapping the bouquet in a white satin ribbon and then using a smaller amount of the lace ribbon would look very pretty. ๐Ÿ™‚

@eocenia:  How great that you can pick the flowers from your grandmother’s garden! I hope you’ll share a photo of the final bouquet with us.
