You might consider what flowers will be in season at the time of your wedding.  It might look odd to some to see a spring tulip at a fall wedding.

I knew I wanted purple but I was looking for a dramatic flower.  So I’m going with dark purple calla lillies.

Our colors are black, dark purple, and silver

Do you have a colour scheme for the rest of your wedding?  That’s where I started.  Like, if you have blue and orange as your colours, maybe do a google image search for “blue and white bouquets”?

I may have *borrowed* a pic from the weddingbee sales boards.  Another bride was selling her silk bouquets and boutonnieres she had made herself.  Up to Pinterest it went!  A great weddingbee also posted silkflowersfactory.com in a thread.  😉

I’ve just been collecting pictures of things that I like. Fmil (who has graciously offered to make my bouquet) and I are planning on going to the local flower farm the day before and deciding based on what they have available, since I generally just want a white bouquet and like several different types. I think this will be cost effective and less stressful for us since neither of us have specific flower desires.
