I love my bouquet. My mom and I made it out of silk flowers found at various local craft and dollar stores (Old Time Pottery, Dollar Tree, JoAnns, Garden Ridge, Michaels). I really love how it turned out. Can’t wait to hold this as I walk down the aisle to marry my fiance next year!

@JellyBelly_Luv:  Wow, love these!!  Very close to what I’m envisioning.  Where did you order your flowers from?

@BoiledPNut:  Wow that is gorgeous, and pretty much exactly what I want to create.  Where did you order your flowers, and how many stems did you use in that bouquet?  Thanks!!

@babu22:  I got the flowers from Grower’s Box and Wholesale Blossoms.  I originally ordered them all from Wholesale Blossoms, but they weren’t able to get the Picasso Call Lilies, so I had to scramble to find them!  The guy at Grower’s Box was amazing to work with and I highly recommend them.  I think I ended up with about 45 stems in my bouquet.

Mine is DIY but by my fiance, not me! LOL! He’s way better at the flower arranging than I am (he’s doing our cenerpieces too). The flowers are all from Michaels.

He’ll be doing another one for me – our colors are lavender and gray and we decided this one is a little to pink.

DIY Semi Brooch Bouquets : wedding bouquet diy flowers pink SAM 1151

Here are mine! I did mine first and got better as I went, so after much debate I plan to dismantle and reassemble mine.  I just feels like it looks sad in comparission to the others.  My wedding is still a year away and it’ll take about 2 hours to re-do so I’m not worried about it.

@BoiledPNut:  Thank you for posting your amazing flowers – I am hoping to use Picasso callas in my Sept wedding and have gone back and forth between wholesaler and florist.  I want the confidence of using a florist, but the prices are so high! I will definitely check out Grower’s Box.  Thanks!

This thread has inspired me and I looked up some vids of DIY bouquets…there’s some great videos on there!  I think I’ll be picking up some flowers to give it a go next week to try my hand at it…if I don’t do too badly then I’ll order what I want from a wholesaler for the wedding…..

@Almost Mrs.P:

I got all my flowers from flower district in midtown (W 28st & 6th ave). That whole block sells wholesale flowers and all the DIY materials for floral and any other for your wedding stuffs like vases, ribbons, etc.

I got the roses from Harvest To Go (W28st & 6th ave); they have many varieties of roses there. You will be amazed; the quality is 100% better than the supermarket’s. The rest of the flowers from United Wholesale Florist, Ltd. They have lots of varieties there. My suggestion is to go there early and ask around for the prices and what’s in season for your wedding. Good Luck!
