I recently finished up a bunch of DIY projects for my wedding and I am DYING to post them to Facebook to show people (I have an album on Facebook already with all my other DIY crafts). Then again, I feel like it’ll take away from the wedding awesomeness if everyone sees what I’ve come up with before the wedding (in August).
Did anyone post their DIY stuff on Facebook? Do you feel like it took away from all the special details you made for your big day?

Post them on WB!!!!
I have done a bunch of DIY stuff but I won’t be posting it on facebook for a couple reasons…
1) I’m not a big facebook poster to begin with.
2) There are lots of people on my FB that will not be invited so I don’t want to rub it in their faces.
3) I would feel crazy posting stuff this early when my wedding isn’t for 20 months hahaa. But I don’t mind posting it here 🙂

I’m not posting anything I’ve done on Facebook. It’s tempting but I’d rather just post on WB or other bridal boards. I wouldn’t want to rub it in peoples faces with all the awesome stuff that they won’t see, lol. Not everybody is invited I’m sure. I can’t help posting how many days left though in status updates. >_>; Every now and then haha

I didn’t because I didn’t want our small handful of guests to see it before the wedding. I post it all here instead 🙂

I’m not posting anything because I don’t want to make anyone that isn’t invited feel bad that they aren’t. Or copy me!!

I have posted my pics on FB…. BUT ONLY in an album that my bridesmaid (who currently lives in NYC) can see. She loves to be kept up to date with all the projects, since she’s not her (in the UK) to see it all first hand. But I do not intend to post up pics of my projects until they are in the context of the wedding in September

I don’t post any of my projects on FB cuz alot of people that are coming I have as friends. I post them all on here though, since none of them are on here.

Leave some surprise factor for your guests!
I actually DO like seeing things like baking DIY wedding stuff on Facebook because I admire people that have cooking talent.

No I did not post anything on facebook about the wedding except that we were getting married and the date. I didnt want anything to take away from the event, nor did I want those who were unwelcome to try and get an invite or show up!!
I posted a lot on weddingbee because I was so excited 🙂

I’m not posting anything wedding related to FB. Some of my guests are friends and some of my friends are not guests. I want the wedding to be pulled together and a bit of a surprise for my guests and I do not want to be rude to the friends that are not guests.

I posted my DIY stuff on the bee and sent photos to my friend/sister. I wouldn’t post them on FB, personally.

Not until after the wedding. Once I got my pro pics back, I posted them and when people asked I would explain my crafts. 🙂 It was more fun that way, IMO, because they were showcased at their best so to speak. They were just included in the Wedding Album I made, but people would comment on them or a lot of my engaged friends would message me.

No, as much as I would like to post them, I think it will take away from the wedding. I taught a couple of friends how to make my paper flowers and one of them posted them on FB and referred to my wedding. Then it turned into a bit of drama with another mutual friend who didn’t know I was getting married . She was upset and felt left out. I had to msg my friend (flower maker) to let her know that I’d rather things not be posted. She understood.

No, I wanted my wedding to be a surprise to most people (and i DIYed a TON of stuff including my flowers). I just texted pictures to my bridesmaids to satisfy my need to share.
