Same here, getting married at the end of May, we’re not doing everything DIY, we have a florist, but I can’t help myself and love designing. So this is the long list of projects I’ve been doing or completed, all the stationary has been self-designed and printed at home (Painful) and we did the woodworking from scratch (Both me and FH like to do carpentry):

-Save the dates (two versions in English and Spanish)

-Invitations (two versions in English and Spanish)

-Programs (I blocked out a lot of info, got the idea from writtenword calligraphy)

-Table numbers

-Favors (Homemade limoncello, we DIYed the tags too)

Displaying IMG_6922.JPG

-Envelope box (Just spray painted an ikea terrarium)

-Direction signs (Just finished them today! Lord)

-Welcome Sign

-Seating Chart

-Backdrop for sweetheart table of watercolor paper flowers (Really crappy image)

Displaying FullSizeRender.jpg

-Arch (Florist will add flowers to it) Displaying IMG_7412.JPG

-Memory box (Wine box that we’ll open in 10 years)

-Confetti Cones (Paper cones with lavender seeds)

-Veil (I made my chapel veil from scratch, and then painted it with acrylic and gold leaf, it looks similar to this but I made a different leaf design a peak of how it looks in person

-and our website of course lol

Anyway I’m really happy with how everything is turning out and love that we’ll have our personalities in our wedding. I love that we personalized so many things and it’s tiring but feels like it will be worth it.

I am having a garden party with a boho feel, so I have to complete:

– my centrepieces I am making with lanterns, moss, and succulents.

-macrame curtain that we will be coming from to walk down the isle

-giant macrame dream catchers that hang from the inside of the tent as a back drop for the food stations

-big pale coloured twine mâché balls I will have in clusters around the opening of the tent

-lots of planting flowers in planters around the property

And I may diy flowers for the bouquets… still can’t decide yet. I just want a lot of greenery and will probably add wood logs in some way that are all over the property anyways. We are also diying our invitations and website, but my cousin/MoH is a graphic designer, I went to school for advertising, and Fiance is an IT guy those are the least of our worries.

iowadiybride :  for hangers I boughy some white hangers $10 for 8. Bought some pearl and rhinestone stick ons and ribbon at the dollar store (like $5 worth) and ordered some small name decals off Etsy for like $20. So the whole project is costing me like  $35 for 8 hangers… and they normaly go for like $10-20 each on Ersy, plus shipping.

If my hand writing wasnt chicken scratch i would buy a copper sharpy and write the names myself.

I just shared some of my professional pics in a recap post but I was a DIY bride and I feel you! That list just grew and grew and I felt like I was never going to get it all done. I was literally still crafting at 11pm the night before the wedding! It’s a lot of stress and time but its SO worth it! Having those personal touches made the entire day. It makes it so much more special and your guests will love the effort. Here’s my list and a few of the photos.

Ceremony Signs
Aisle Runner
Photobooth sign and props
Seating chart
Signature drink sign
instagram signs
