I randomly went to browse the wedding aisle at Michaels and saw the DIY bridesmag invitation kits on sale and I was wondering has anyone ever used these? The price tag was much more friendly than the quote I was given at a few places this weekend. I just hate things in boxes that I can’t open up and actually look at the paper. I know its cheap and I should just go and buy a set but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with these. Do you print them yourself or is there a place to get invitations printed?
Any other invitation advice would be great! I have a very simple style in mind and I don’t want to pay a ton when guests are just going to throw it out after the wedding.

I purchased my invitation kit from Party City and they are kind of plain, but I added yellow ribbon and a charm. They turned out beautiful. People think that we purchased them from a print shop. Go for it, if you are on a budget. It is time consuming, but it is totally worth it.

One of the girls I work with bought them and brought hers in to show me. The paper quality was really nice, the only thing I didn’t like (and this is just her particular suite) was that it didn’t have envelopes, she was just supposed to be using the pocket fold and stick an address label on it.
I am actually going to check out the michaels by be today, they are on sale for 29.99 this week and starting Fri I have a 25% off coupon for JoAnnes, I believe I can use it there, that brings the price down to 22.49!
