So if any of you have followed my DIY projects you will have noticed “texture” and “fabrics” seem to be running wild in my vision!
“Rustic, Elegant, Romantic, Comfortable” are the four words I have used religiously in my wedding planning process. I felt like I captured the feel with my homemade Save-The-Date Cards using natural linen for their front cover and a chic “dark moss” chalk ink to stamp clean lettering. Simple. Rustic. BAM! –pretty excited about them! Sending them in 2 weeks!-
So on to the big picture of today’s post! Bunting Pennants. We will be married outside in a brick courtyard in a very old part of my home town. Here is a sneak peak of the ceremony site…
As you can see, little needs to be done to this area, its lovely just the way it is, I love the feel of the landscape taking over the old brick buildings of my home town, feels so antique and fragile! Without needing to incorporate much to this scene I did want something to frame where we will be standing. At first I had NO idea what I would do… the large rusted wall is lovely but HUGE and I didn’t want it to look like we tried too hard to fill the space or take away from the beauty of its natural state…
then I decided bunting pennants! Fun, festive, rustic for sure, and simply sweet! Given that you can make these bad boys with ANYTHING it gives a great opportunity to show some personality in the design of your day. So here they are! I apologize for not having any hanging pictures yet! Once I have everything finished up I’ll repost the final look 🙂
What do you think? Do the fabric choices correlate enough?
Did you or do you plan to use pennants in your wedding? Where? How?!
