Have a question for anyone who’s fabric saavy… For our reception we’re planning a carnival theme and we’re trying to figure out how to make diy carnival booths. The structure of the booth will be PVC, but I’m not sure how to cover it? Would like a material that would require minimal sewing (no fraying) and one we could paint “carnival” stripes in our wedding colors on?

@daisymaisy: Ikea has great striped fabric available by the yard. We are also doing a semi-carnival theme and this was the best pricing i could find.
Check out this wedding if you haven’t seen it before (also -offbeatbride has lots of carnival diy weddings – check out marina’s from australia – it was awesome):

I just found some red and white striped fabric at walmart the other day for $3 a yard. It’s very carnival-y
