Maybe you should go to your local craft store and just see for yourself what to expect from X amount of flowers.

Make a sample with flowers from the grocery store or silk flowers from the craft store.

buzzingalong:  Just use that as your inspiration piece and go to a craft store like Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc and play with different arrangements.  I just made my bridal bouquet and I had fun doing it.  Good luck with your project.
