I started working on a ribbon pomander, to see how I would like it. sadly.. I don’t think it looks very good :- I’m thinking I should have cut the ribbons smaller maybe, but it doesn’t look right to me for some reason.
Our wedding colors are navy blue & silver.. what do you think about the pomander so far?
I’ve also thought about lanterns..I like the idea of mason jars too.. Our reception venue is the convention center at a state park lodge here, so it is all wooden inside. I have seen so many beautiful centerpieces, I don’t know which way to go!

I think the ribbon pomander idea is neat, maybe you’d like it more if you made it a bit more uniform? What about if you made all the ribbons stick out the same amount and had a pattern for the direction of the ribbons? I think it’s a good start!

I agree with @SquidWeds, make the ribbons more uniform, and definitely narrower, like 1″ instead of what looks like 2″-3″. I think it looks great though and way better than what I could do! Kudos for the effort! Are you going to put a tealight in the bottom?

@SquidWeds: That’s what I was thinking, that maybe I messed up by not having them exactly the same.
@LaurenKK: I think a tealight in he bottom would be cool.. it was SUCH a pain though.
I think I may just finish that one and use it as a guest book table decoration or something, I’m not sure my nerves could handle making those for all of the tables, lol.
