If you can do it that well, why not just cut out the middleman and make them yourself?

Thats very pretty! And a really great job for a first try.. I would say she shouldn’t have a problem, I mean, if she’s a florist I’m sure she has some experience wtih it.

I think the one you and the Maid/Matron of Honor made is beautiful!  With the pictures, your florist SHOULD be able to re-create it.  It looks like the biggest differences between yours and hers are that her greenery sticking out is way too long and arranged oddly, and the main floral part on hers is way too condensed. Yours looks more natural with some open space here and there and the flowers at slightly different depths.  You did great for the first time!

Is she creating great bouquets and/or come at a great price?  If not, honestly, I’m inclined to say maybe you need a different florist, if she thinks the one she made looks good.  Floral design is very aesthetic driven, and it seems she doens’t fully grasp those concepts!  Maybe you could get a group of people (not bridesmaids or other people who will be busy) who are willing to help you out and re-create the centerpieces for you the day before/on the day of the wedding.  You could teach them what you want beforehand, since you obviously know how to do what you want.  Yes, it’s a little more stress, but I’m sure it will be cheaper and you’ll have direct control over what you get!

Either way, now that you know exactly what you want and how to do it, you should have an easier time getting whoever is doing it to look like that!

they actually look very very similar so your florist should have no problems making the necessary changes!  Should just communicate to her/him exactly what you want differently.  Seems like you don’t like all the extra blooms sticking out at the top. Easy!

bigcitydiamonds:  I think you did an amazing job. Ever thing about renting tall vases and doing them in silk flowers instead. then you can be sure the design is exactly what you want? Just an idea as you can do them weeks in advance. Good luck!
