I agree with the pp how said the green glass would be gorgeous. I love your idea But I prefer the other one with the candlesticks. I like more airy light things though. Yours are also quite nice and so inventive!

I love the idea. You shouldnt have an issue with the flowers. if your florist is doing it they will just put in a bit extra floral foam to fill it out.
