I can sew a bit and knit a bit, but I’m not so crafty with paper. I want to DIY our programs to look like below. I have a monogram already, but what size cardstock should I buy? I also love the thickness of the ribbon that’s used. What size do you think that is,and what kind of tool do I need to make a hole big enough to bind the paper? Any tips on where to get ribbon like this? Thank you so, so much in advance!

That looks like 3/4″ to me? I get all my ribbon at Michaels in Canada. But I have heard lots of Americans using Hobby Lobby for stuff too. That looks like huge cardstock. The biggest I’ve ever seen is 12×12.

I think i’ve seen larger cardstock at Michaels (24″x12″). If I were doing it I would just use 12″x12″ paper- it’s easier to find and cheaper. (I would cut the sheets 4.5×12″)
You should be able to find a ribbon similar to that. I would suggest checking out a JoAnnes if you have one near you. I think they have a better selection of fabric ribbon (Michaels has a good selection as well, but their ribbon tends to be only a few brands, and those brands make more of the ‘typical’ ribbon, and not what is pictured. Not sure what Hobby Lobby carries, but as they carry fabric they might have a better selection of a cotton ribbon than Michaels.
I would get a regular whole punch and punch it to the center of the pages, at the fold. This should be fine for getting the ribbon through.
This looks like a pretty simple progect once you find your materials and get the basics figured out. Good Luck!
