No worries, my dear. I just finished my first pair of shoes and all of the crystals I used were hotfix. I didn’t bother with the hotfix tool. I figured it would take WAYYYYYY too long doing it that way, having to hold it on each individual crystal for what, 10-15 seconds each to melt the glue underneath? BLAH. It takes long enough to just stick them on as it is. I used Gemtac glue and placed all of my crystals on and I haven’t had a single one fall off yet. And I wear them pretty much all of the time because they are the prettiest things I have ever seen. 🙂

You’re fine if you just use some glue, and you will save a bunch of time that way too. Good luck!!

I also just used hotfix crystals and just used e6000 glue.

I’m going to post more photos once my other shoe is finished 🙂

I also used the E6000 glue. The hotfix adhesive is made for fabric, which doesnt work well on firmer material. The E6000 is really strong, and you wont also have to worry about them falling off during the wedding. Also the glue makes it easier to move them around after applying them for at lest a couple minutes.
