Hi ladies! I need some help please! So I am a waiting bee but my little sister is getting married in October 2012. After being on this site, I saw all of the awesome strassed shoes that a lot of bees have done and decided that I was going to make my sister a clutch for Christmas. She loves everything bling and needless to say she loved it! So I offered to do shoes for her as well. I found a pair of Caparros on clearance at Macy’s for $20, bought my crystals and set out to work.
Many hours later I have one shoe complete and really am liking the way they look. There is a strap in the center of the shoe that has a beautiful rhinestone buckle. I am not sure if I should put crystals on the strap or leave it bare. There is also a little platform on the front and I’m not sure if I should put crystals on that. What do you all think? Strap but no platform? Platform but no strap? Or put crystals on anything and everything?
Here are some pictures (this is my first time uploading pics, so sorry if it gets messed up.)
Rhinestone clutch I made for Christmas.
View of the shoe from the side with the strap and buckle.
Front of the shoe with the small platform.
These pictures really don’t do them justice. They are really sparkly in person and I’m pleased with them so far. I appreciate any feedback you all have. Thanks!

I say leave the strap and platform bare, it is a nice contrast!

I think you did an amazing job! I’d leave the strap and the platform as it. Maybe glitter or add some rhinestones to the under side of the heel? That’s my only thought….and even without, they look perfect to me!!!
and the purse is awesome as well!

Those look amazing, you did such a great job. I agree with @StormyRose: , I like them the way they are.

I currently like the contrast, but I work in a shoe store, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that shoes look different on. I think the strap being bare might end up looking out of place when you can’t see the inside of the shoe anymore, but I’m not sure. Either way, I think the platform should stay bare.
Gorgeous work, by the way. It looks professional. 😀

Thanks for the feedback ladies! I’m in agreement with you all. I like the contrast of the ivory satin against all the crystals. I’m showing them to my sister this weekend, so we’ll see what she thinks. Thanks again!

These look fabulous!! I would leave them as is–and I am so impressed with your work! I don’t think I could ever do this, or at least it wouldn’t look nearly as good 🙂
