I don’t think it would be hard to make, just make one in advance for practice.  I think it would be cute to cut the big cupcake with your husband and serve smaller cupcakes for guests.  My sister made this giant cupcake:

Even if you think so now, you probably won’t have time. I was set on making our own cupcakes (instead of a cake) & cookie wedding favors. As time got closer I realized that it was not realistic & it would be way too time consuming. I ended up getting 2 bakers…it’s way less stressful 🙂

*drool* That looks yummy 🙂 Sorry, just had to say that, lol. I like the idea of smaller cupcakes, rather then a larger one. The idea of the top tier being an actual cake is a good one too >.<

@SweetRose2011: Those were my exact thoughts on our wedding cake too! Humongo cupcake for us to cut w/ smaller cupcakes for everyone else. Then I started thinking about it, and I felt it was way too “5-year-old-birthday-party”. We then were going to keep the smaller cupcakes for everyone else & do a 9″ 2 tiered wedding cake on top for us to cut. We ended up going w/ just a regular cake, lol.

@SweetRose2011: Sorry, that’s what I meant…the huge cupcake would be too kidish, lol…sorry!
