I am finding myself painting on wood a lot for my DIY Wedding, making signs and a lot of other things… unfortunately I don’t have any pictures right now with me but for centerpieces, we went to a DAISO Store (if you have one near you I recommend you going there!) and bought small wooden crates… they are all unpainted so you can do whatever you want with them. 🙂 I stained them in a darker brown, then I went to Michaels to get those 70 cent small oval pieces of wood, painted them black and wrote our initials in white to make it look like a chalkboard, and then glued that on the crates. If there are no DAISO Stores near you I’m sure you can find crates like that somewhere else, the good thing I love about daiso though is that everything they sell is $1.50, so we only paid $15 for all of them. 🙂 Then you can fill those crates with whatever you like, snacks, flowers, fruits, etc.

My wedding is in 12 days…. but here’s what I’m doing!

My centerpices are a bunch of glass bottles that I collected over the past year and then painted (think drink bottles, syup bottles, hot sauce bottles, etc)  I used a Tint It spray from Michaels. Here are some pictures of them: https://instagram.com/p/2yuoXoiSF4/?taken-by=amberback & https://instagram.com/p/sF7fufCSBR/?taken-by=amberback

I ordered flowers from fiftyflowers that I’ll be putting in them. And the’ll be sitting on grey/white chevron table runners that my mom & i made. https://instagram.com/p/xqANetiSHJ/?taken-by=amberback

These are the table numbers, they’ll be hanging on a centerpiece bottle. https://instagram.com/p/zOE3TDiSPh/?taken-by=amberback I ordered the numbers/flags on etsy then put them together.

I’ll also use the bottles/flowers to set on other areas to decorate. I think I have about 50. 20 for tables and 30 for elsewhere.

I used washi tape to make these little flags for my cupcakes. https://instagram.com/p/zBZ8vJiSMT/?taken-by=amberback

Right now I’m working on stringing a bunch of bunting for decoration. I bought these at party city. https://instagram.com/p/2yhdiqCSFr/?taken-by=amberback I’m going to hang them at the pavillion and also use them to decorate tables (like the cake table).

I’m also working on cutting streamers that I’ll tie to the ends of the ceremony chairs.

here’s some terribly drawn paint mockups of what the decor will look like.
